Yes, it can happen to you

An Assembly of God church in Lansing, MI was invaded by homosexual activists on Sunday 11/9.  According to several sources, protesters with megaphones and banners dressed in pink and black protested outside, distracting the church’s security team.  When the security staff were well distracted, the “sleepers” planted throughout the congregation made their move and disrupted the worship service by screaming their insanity and throwing flyers saying “it’s ok to be gay”.  They also unfurled a banner from the balcony, and actually made out in the altar.

Here’s a report from Fox News that shows some video of this.

Here is a statement from this church’s website

All this church did to invite this stupidity was preach the Word of God, that it is sin to have sex outside of the marriage of one man and one woman and they had a ministry that reached out to those who wished to be free of this sin.

Contrary to what activists in Hollywood are saying, there is NO hate in preaching the saving blood of Jesus Christ that sets men and women free from sin (ALL sin).  We don’t hate people who live in sin.  We preach that God loves us all so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for us and set us free from sin. Homosexuality is sin, not a person.  It is not the same as race or gender.  Race is not a sin, gender is not a sin, and neither can be compared to sin.

Of course this isn’t representative of every person living in homosexual sin.  Just as extreme behavior isn’t representative of people doing other sin (lying, stealing, adultery, lust, etc).

What will you do when this happens in your church?  Be prepared, the sin of rebellion that goes as far as to even rebel against the natural use of one’s body is driving some people to do things that go far beyond the privacy of their bedroom.   This proves many will not stop at the sidewalk of your church when it comes to making their hatred for the truth known.

  1. dean says:

believers need to stand strong on the truth. some are, but some are capitulating. seems some folks believe it’s less of a hassle to just give in.
well, it IS less of a hassle, but so would have been denying Christ instead of burning at the stake, being torn apart by wild animals in front of a blood-thirsty crowd, or facing a firing squad.

it’s getting harder to find folks willing to take a stand.
