My wife rocks!

My wife, Melissa posted this blog post on her MySpace (shut up you MySpace haters, at least she’s blogging!)  I thought I’d repost it here since I don’t have time to come up with something on my own lately.  I don’t know if she wrote it all herself, but it’s good anyway!

 The Power Is In You!!!

Ephesians 3:7

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.

God is able to do all things:

Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!

What is your wildest dream? What would you ask for if you really believed that you would receive it? Could you really ask for it?

These might be the very things that hold us back from the faith that pleases him! (Hebrew 11:6) Selfish desires or feeling that we don’t deserve what we want are two things the devil uses to stop us from getting our inheritance!!

If we could grasp that key, that we could do anything, what would we be able to accomplish on earth for the kingdom of God?

Verse 20 states “according to His power that is at work within us:

What a concept!! We should use that idea; HIS power is working in us!

That means that you can carry His power and use His power by allowing it to work in you, but it’s not YOUR power. You can’t buy it or give away. You can’t earn it or osmosis it into existence. The only requirement is FAITH! It is for each believer but is according to their faith and the level they chose to walk in.

We can’t get jealous of the gifts and blessings of others. Especially if they have discovered the key and have chosen to walk in faith.  We must seek God for ourselves and see how we can carry that same power. We must look within and see what is not lining up with the word of God.

Also, this power is not for us to walk around naming and claiming! It’s not to get selfish or vain material with. God wants us to be blessed, this is his word. (Psalms 37:4) But God gives us the power for the work he has called us to. Our delight must be in him, to please him. If it doesn’t end with glorifying God he will not allow us to use the power.

And finally, it’s for ALL generations. This means that if your 8, 18, 81 we can all have the same power! That’s very exciting to me! Many young people believe because they are young, they are disqualified from this blessing. Not so!!!!
