From a young age, I felt the call of God on my life to serve Him in creative ways. Growing up as a PK (preacher’s kid), I am no stranger to the things of God and the inner workings of church ministry. Although I tried many times to run from the call of God on my life, that call has shouted loud in my heart.
After serving as youth pastor in 3 churches, and serving in various other capacities in those churches for nearly 10 years, I am now serving in a ground-breaking position in our current church. Never have I heard of this position in Pentecostal/Charasmatic churches, but it’s revelant to me how important of a role this position can play in a church of any flavor. As Elder of Worship, my job is to provide leadership to the various directors who play a part in the worship services. This includes the Worship Director, Prayer Director, A/V director, Dance team leader, and head usher. It is my responsibility to work between the Pastor and these people to ensure that every service follows the given weekly theme. This is an exciting position that I don’t take lightly. There will be 5 of us elders in our church that cover the following areas: Evangelism, Discipleship, Worship, Care, and Stewardship. Currently 3 of those are in place.
I make a living working at Inside Connect Cable in Shepherdsville. I manage Internet, VoIP, and Digital video services. I really enjoy my work.
I am the proud father of three incredible children, the husband of a hot woman (yeah, baby!) who is also in ministry at our church as the youth director (I’m sleeping with the youth leader – lol), and the master of a goofy little dog.
